Hello all!!
Feels so good to be back writing again. It has been a quiet cold winter here at Carbon Countrys Shady Rest. Not alot of accumulation of snow but many freezing temps with frost on the windows in the morning.
But even with the low temps, I and my hiking partner have still been able to take advantage of the foothills trail located straight out the driveway.

A short 2.4 miles from the front door, we enjoyed the view from under the historical Fairfax Bridge. This bridge is over 100 years old and spans 450 feet above the mighty Carbon River.
