History in the Making in Buckley Washington

Shelley Wright

The Pacific Northwest has long been known for folks who work hard and play hard. From miners, to loggers,to fisherman to farmers, men and women have endured the elements to provide for their families. On September 18th and 19th 2021, the town of Buckley Washington brings an event which represents one of these groups of outdoor enthusiasts. The 48th annual Buckley Log Show.

A family event inclucing food vendors, beer garden, and even a clown are included in this two day event. Competition events include, speed climbing, log rolling, chopping, ax throwing and even hot saws made from car motors. Although I am sure that in days gone by, there were no saws made from car motors, this crowd pleasing event remains a favorite of both the locals and others. Why not join us and enjoy the fun of witnessing both history and modern day logging at The Buckley Log Show. Look forward to seeing you!!!
